I am a Postdoctoral scholar at Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at University of California, San Diego. My primary research lies at the intersection of Economics of Health, Food, and Consumer Behavior. My job market paper explores how non-healthcare consumption behaviors are influenced by public health insurance expansions. I received a B.S. (Agricultural Technology and Management) from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, an M.S. (Agricultural and Applied Economics) from University of Wyoming, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from The Ohio State University.
